Embrace the festive spirit on this break in an authentic winter wonderland filling your days with activities designed for the whole family. Visit Santa in his home, meet reindeer and huskies, decorate gingerbread and master the art of snowshoeing. An evening visit to the Aurora Camp gives you the best chance to view the magnificent northern lights and afterwards warm up in the relaxing heat of a Finnish sauna.

Over 350km north of the Arctic Circle, in the heart of taiga forest and the home of Santa Claus, Nellim Wilderness Hotel is located in a quiet and beautiful setting overlooking Lake Inari. This is pure wilderness territory, just a few kilometres from the Russian border and under an hour from Ivalo airport.

This fully inclusive holiday takes you to a real winter wonderland and captures the true essence of a festive escape. With a range of activities suitable for all ages, traditional and hearty cuisine plus the chance to witness the northern lights, this special Santa break has proved an instant hit!

The definite highlight and the most eagerly expected event is the private visit to Santa’s cabin. Having already received letters from the children, Santa will have them to hand to discuss the wishes and dreams of each child. Santa will also hand out a small present.

On arrival at Ivalo Airport you will be met and transferred (45 minutes) to Nellim. Check into your accommodation and enjoy an evening meal.

Spend your time enjoying this winter wonderland on several activities specially selected for family groups.

Reindeer Farm visit
This morning, travel by snowmobile pulled sledge to the Reindeer Farm where you will meet the reindeer and the local herders. After lunch test your snowshoe skills ‘in search of Santa’ in the snowy wilderness around Nellim before heading back into the warm and decorate traditional gingerbread before dinner.

Husky sledding and Santa visit
Head out for a morning Husky Sledging. Parents will learn the art of mushing, with their children sat comfortably in the sledge, before visiting the husky kennels to meet the huskies and their puppies.

Santa visit
Visit Santa who has already received the letters written to him by the children. Santa will discuss the Christmas wishes and dreams of each child. Santa will also hand out a small present.

Aurora Camp
Travel to the Aurora camp by snowmobile pulled sledge. Keep warm by the fire whilst waiting for the northern lights. Hot drinks will be served during the evening

After breakfast transfer to Ivalo Airport for your flight home.
