Introduction

A seven room bed and breakfast, the Bay Avenue is family owned and operated. Found on a bluff at the edge of the stunning Kachemak Bay, each room offers views over the spectacular surroundings, and is an idyllic base for exploring Southern Alaska.

There is a large common area, fully furnished kitchen and free wifi available for guests as well as free parking. Surrounded by mature spruce trees, a favourite perch for many of the area’s bald eagles, the lagoon and tidal flats below are the perfect place to watch shorebirds, waterfowl and sandhill cranes. With a tide that rises and falls fifteen to twenty feet, bringing with it the fishing fleet heading out to their fishing ground, the area’s majestic mountains and glaciers are what many imagine when they dream of a holiday to Alaska.
