Beaufort House

Introduction

Lovingly restored with old world charm, modern conveniences and offering quality bed and breakfast accommodation, this gracious old home is set on an acre of garden containing protected trees, rare camellias, roses and a small private vineyard.

The elegant guest lounge, which overlooks the garden, has an open fire in winter where guests can relax and enjoy the comfort and warmth.

This property is located on Banks Peninsula in the quaint, French-inspired seaside village of Akaroa, 81.7 kilometres (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes) south-east of Christchurch. It is just a short stroll from the harbour side, with its shops and restaurants.

Each of the four rooms has a distinctly different flavour – the Nalder Room has a botanical theme with lots of stunning fabrics and artwork. The Fyfe Room has lovely views down into Children’s Bay and the surrounding valley and enjoys the afternoon sun. The Shepherd Room gets the first of the morning sun all year round and has a private balcony. The blue and white Walker Room enjoys the afternoon sunshine and overlooks the bay. All rooms have en-suite facilities and have a double room only configuration. Full breakfast is included, together with a glass of wine and canapes with your hosts.
