One of our smallest ships, the Polar Pioneer offers traditional expedition voyaging with a range of optional adventure activities.
Maximum passengers: 54
Originally built as a scientific research vessel, this classic expedition ship offers simple but comfortable accommodation. She is small and nimble, and with just 54 passengers provides a far more personal and intimate polar experience.
Facilities on board the Polar Pioneer include a sauna, two dining rooms, lounge bar and a dedicated lecture theatre. Spacious decks and an open bridge policy allow for excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. The ship carries a fleet of zodiacs as well as adventure kit such as kayaks, scuba diving gear and climbing equipment (available on selected voyages).
