This boutique hotel sits on the slopes of Tenorio Volcano, close to the electric blue waters of the Rio Celeste and its famous waterfall. There are various hiking trails on the property, as well as the chance to enjoy a swim in the beautiful Rio Celeste, or spot endemic wildlife including sloths, coatis and tapirs. Optional experiences can also be arranged, such as a trip to the Rio Celeste waterfall, horse-riding, a visit to the Maleku Indigenous Reserve, white-water rafting, and guided tours into Tenorio Volcano National Park.
Reduce, reuse, and recycle policies are in place throughout the lodge, and the use of local growers and suppliers contributes to the social and economic well-being of the local community, as well as providing guests with an authentic taste of Costa Rica. 90% of the property is dedicated to conservation, supported by the Costa Rica Wildlife Foundation and local guides, to research, monitor, and protected endangered species like the tapir. Rio Celeste Hideaway also supports education initiatives to pass on the importance of conservation and sustainability to future generations.
