Nestled on the banks of the Kariega River in the malaria free Sibuya Game Reserve is Sibuya Forest Camp. Your adventure begins with a boat transfer into camp where you may see dolphin, turtles and flamingos as well as some of the 375 bird species found here.
The eight luxury tents are built on raised wooden decks and linked by wooden walkways through pristine thicket. All the tents lead out onto wide decks offering views of the river or forest.
Richly coloured local textiles in shades of burnt orange and rust are used throughout the camp, supporting the local community. The main lounge and dining area is under thatch with a large open viewing deck. Guests can dine in the dining room, on picnics or in the open-air boma.
Sibuya is an eco-friendly reserve, therefore the camp is run almost exclusively on solar power. There is no Wi-Fi, television, air conditioning, electric fans and only intermittent mobile signal; guests are encouraged to relax and enjoy the nature around them.
Activities from the lodge include game drives, river cruises, guided walks and canoeing.
