Say yes to adventure
with Anita Rani

Overview

2025 is the year to say yes to adventure. That’s what Anita Rani is doing as she joins us for three incredible journeys this year to Iceland, the Arctic and Costa Rica.

Well known to BBC Countryfile viewers, Anita is an award-winning broadcaster. She presents Womans Hour on BBC Radio 4 and is also a bestselling author having published her memoir, The Right Sort of Girl, in 2015 followed by her first novel in 2023.

Anita was made a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Goodwill Ambassador in 2021.

At Discover the World, we’ve been passionately shaking up the travel world since 1984. Pioneering experiences across the globe that take you to the heart of each destination, our itineraries are created by travellers for travellers. We’ll thrilled to be collaborating with Anita in her year of saying yes, which started with an action-packed trip to Iceland in February, a Greenland voyage in summer and a road trip in Costa Rica in November.

Anita Rani x Discover the World

“Discover the World and my own values are very closely aligned which is why I was so delighted to accept this opportunity to  travel to some incredible destinations and really push myself to ‘say yes to adventure’.

I will be straying far away from any sun lounger in order to experience the raw power of nature in many different forms, from volcanic landscapes, glacial lagoons, towering waterfalls and lush rainforests.

I’m also delighted to spread the word about Discover the World’s Education Bursary Fund which is supported by the holidays arm of the business and how it pays, in full, for at least 30 disadvantaged students each year who otherwise wouldn’t have had the opportunity to travel, to join one of their school trips abroad.

First stop was Iceland, which is fitting as this was the first destination they offered when the company launched over 40 years ago. I can’t wait to share this with you all.”
