Getting to Australia

With an extensive choice of routes and fares available for travel to Australia, prices shown for our Australia holidays do not include flights. There are also many stopover options and almost all of our clients choose to tailor their holiday to some extent we prefer to quote for flights based on individual requirements.

Booking Flights

Once you have an idea of your Australia travel arrangements simply telephone or email us for a quotation for your flights. We’ll need to know the following information:

  • Your planned departure and return dates
  • Desired stopovers on either or both journeys
  • Preferred airline or preferred route (one will often dictate the other)
  • Your favoured cabin class (economy, premium or business)

Our sales team will then be able to secure the best fare available to suit your needs.

There is no such thing as a standard price for flights to Australia, costs vary according to time of year, route flown and offers available however a reasonable indication of air fare costs is £600-900 (excluding airport taxes) based on economy class.

Airport transfers

Make your arrival in Australia as straightforward as possible and let us pre-arrange an airport transfer to your accommodation.  Relax and savour the start of your holiday in comfort.

Stopovers

One of the great things about travelling to Australia is the huge range of stopover options available. Allowing you to visit exotic islands or some of the world’s most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities, it makes a lot of sense to break your journey on a long-haul flight and often involves little or no flight supplement.

Pacific Islands

Eleven million square miles of ocean, dotted with thousands of tropical islands comprise this idyllic portion of the globe where white sand beaches, swaying palm trees, azure seas and perennial warmth offer a true vision of paradise. Complement your Aussie holiday with a relaxing escape in Fiji, the Cook Islands, French Polynesia and Hawaii.

Far East

In contrast to the tranquil hideaways of the Pacific islands, the major cities of the Far East are a hub of activity and excitement. Renowned for their excellent shopping opportunities, high standard of accommodation and fascinating cultural experiences, a stopover here is a great complement to your Australia holiday.

USA

Midway between the UK and Australia, the west coast of America is an ideal place to break your journey, with Los Angeles and San Francisco providing two very individual cities while a detour to Las Vegas makes for a memorable experience. Other stopover destinations depend on airlines and connections. See our USA stopovers

Airline Information

Our preferred airlines are British Airways/Qantas, Emirates and Air New Zealand, however we can also offer flights with many others, including Virgin Atlantic and Singapore Airlines.  Qantas operates 28 return services a week from London Heathrow to Australia via Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong.  Domestic airlines include Qantas, Jetstar and SkyWest.

Passport & Visa Information

British citizens require a valid passport and an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) for entry into Australia. The ETA has a 12 month validity, enabling multiple stays of up to 3 months for each visit.

The following types of electronic visitor visa are available:

Our specialist team will be pleased to arrange your electronic visitor visa on your behalf. Alternatively you can process your own eVisitor visa application online.

The eVisitor visa is available to British Citizens, please refer to the Department of Immigration & Border Protection if you hold any other passport, or other form of British passport (e.g. British National Overseas, British Dependent Territories Citizen passport).

In certain circumstances you may be asked to undergo a health examination before a visa can be granted, for example if you are aged 75 years or older.
