Cradle Mountain Day Tour, Launceston

Introduction

Departing Launceston, this tour heads southwest past the quaint and historical towns of Carrick, Hagley, Westbury, and Deloraine, before stopping for a tour of Sheffield, the town renowned for its murals.

Moving on across the beautiful Cethana Dam, a lunch stop (at your own expense) will be made to appreciate all that has already been seen. The Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre is the first afternoon stop, before you head out for a short stroll along the Enchanted Forest Walk, where pencil pine, lush forest and spectacular waterfalls tempt your camera.

A short walk around Dove Lake follows, before a visit to the Waldheim Chalet. Your day is completed at the Ashgrove Cheese farm, where you will learn about how cheese is made before sampling some of the delectable varieties that are made right there on the premises. The tour concludes on your return to Launceston.
