Introduction

Beginning in the wilderness town of Talkeetna, this bush plane flight carries passengers over the glacially formed landscapes towards the jagged point that is Denali.

Coming within six miles of the 20,320ft summit, your pilot will be eager to explain the natural wonders of Denali National Park and how they were formed in the last ice age.

Crossing over a world of towering mountain peaks and wide glacier-filled valleys, even the harshest cynic will surely be impressed by the incredible colours and rough beauty of this rugged land. These include the stretch of the Sheldon Amphitheatre, the unparalleled highway of the Ruth Glacier and the world’s deepest gorge, the Great Gorge, which reaches almost two miles from top to bottom.
