Introduction
A leisurely ramble following a track through this luxuriant valley, botany is the name of the game on this excursion.
Home to a surprisingly varied number of arctic flora, the tundra in bloom is a rare and incredible sight. Blooming purples, bursting whites and sunny yellows cover the ground and tempt the camera, while your guide explains not only the different species of flowers which festoon your journey but also how they can survive in this, at times, desperate and unforgiving climate.
Although flowers are the focus, however, the views are second to none and this is an incredible way to explore part of Greenland’s countryside, where reindeer and perhaps even musk ox wander in these long summer days.
Please note that this excursion is subject to weather conditions and may require minimum numbers to operate. For these reasons we are not able to pre-book this excursion before you travel. All activities must be booked and paid for locally.
