On this tour, you will be transported into the Advent Valley and up the Mine 7 Mountain, Breinosa. Up here you will see the massive EISCAT antenna, which is used to study the Earth’s atmosphere, including the phenomenon known commonly as the Northern Lights. This is the perfect place to look for the temperamental lights and time will be set aside for photography should the lights appear.
After enjoying the views you will head down to the Northern Lights base – Camp Barentz, where you will continue to search for the aurora. You will spend some time outside looking for the lights but you will also be able to enjoy hot drinks and snacks around an open fire inside, while gaining an insight into how the lights are formed from your knowledgeable host.
