Introduction
This tour heads by snowmobile into the darkness of Sweden’s Lapland in pursuit of the aurora borealis.
One of the most exhilarating means of travel in the Swedish north, snowmobiles are a popular means of travel for those who live around the pole and are a marvellous way to get out into the true wilderness to witness the dance and play of the northern lights.
If guests are lucky enough to spot the waltz of the aurora borealis, you will continue the chase over sparkling snows to maintain good views of these northern wonders.
En route back to Ripan Resort, you will be served a sandwich and a hot drink in a traditional Sami lavvu (tepee), before returning back, where you will be presented with a slideshow on the northern lights. Children aged 5-6 will ride in a sled that is pulled behind the guide’s snowmobile.
