Northern Lights Tour on Horseback

Introduction

After transferring to the horse farm, guests will have the chance to meet and get familiar with the sure-footed Icelandic horse who will be their mount for the evening.

Get equipped with warm clothing and riding gear and let the experienced guides ensure the right horse for you. Introduction and  time spent grooming and getting familiar with your horse, then saddle up and set off through the snow clad forest, lit only by the stars and hopefully multi-hued brilliance of the northern lights.

A magnificent way to travel through the northern wilds, even if the Aurora Borealis fails to appear, this is a stunning journey and the almost entirely light-pollution free skies provide a wonderful spread of millions of stars. There is also a chance to spot one of the area’s resident moose, who are unafraid of horses.

Dinner will be served on return to the farm in a traditional Sami hut.

Please note that we recommend hat participants have some riding experience and riders must be at least 13 years of age. Maximum weight 90kg. Sightings of the northern lights can never be guaranteed.
