Introduction
A peninsula of fine volcanic features, almost half of the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland’s south-west is covered by stretching lava fields, some only a few centuries old.
Home to the world-famous Blue Lagoon, this day trip travels by Iceland’s Superjeep over the moonscape of this peninsula to many of the area’s highlights.
Visiting bird cliffs that come alive in the summer months, rolling volcanoes, solfatares and mysterious and ancient caves, this is a journey that explores the natural and strangely barren beauty of south-west Iceland.
An optional quad bike adventure is available, allowing guests to drive over the area’s rough terrain for themselves before settling in to the azure-beauty of the Blue Lagoon.
The entry fee is extra, but guests are highly encouraged to stop in these thermal pools for a swim before their return transfer to Reykjavik.
Duration: 8 hours
Price: From £355 per adult and from £178 per child (11 years and under)
