Reindeer Farm by Snowmobile

Introduction

A tour which allows you to experience the Finnish wilderness in two different ways, your day begins with a brief journey by snowmobile out into the elegant forests which surround Iso-Syöte.

Travelling through an area masked and muted by the winter snow, you will head to a traditional reindeer farm. Here, the Sami herders who have made this area home for generations are waiting to teach you about the fine art of animal husbandry as well as their unique way of life.

An intriguing and independent people, the Sami of Scandinavia’s north have only recently been acknowledged as an indigenous people, but their traditions are strong and they will happily tell you stories about life in the Finnish Lapland.

After a brief reindeer sledge ride, you will be served with coffee and cake before your return to your hotel.
