The East Coast is known as the realm of the polar bear, due to the huge ice-covered expanse of the Storfjord being a favored hunting ground for the world’s largest carnivore. Travel through the open plains and over mighty glaciers to the East Coast. After a few hours you will arrive at Storfjorden, ‘the big fjord’ which is generally covered by ice in the winter. You will venture out onto the ice and head towards the magical glacier front.
Far away to the east, catch a glimpse of Edgeoya and enjoy an expedition lunch as you take in the views. If the weather is on your side, you will take a different route home.
Duration: 9 hours
