A scenic coach journey provided by Lyngsfjord Adventure takes you to the Arctic wilderness at Camp Tamok (transfer 75 minutes) – set among high mountains in the beautiful Tamok Valley.
Before visiting the remarkable Tromso Ice Domes you receive the winter clothing and get ready to meet the reindeer. Reindeer sledding is the oldest form of transport in the north, and an ancient part of Sami culture. This captivating trip enables you to drive your sledge in pairs. You will also be able to visit a laavu, home of the Sami people and try some lasso throwing. This provides a great opportunity to learn about the Sami culture and see some of the beautiful handicrafts created by the Sami.
Once back at the Camp you have time to rest with a hot meal, then to the Tromso Ice Domes nearby where you are greeted by the guide who informs you about the construction process, answers any questions and serve you a complimentary non-alcoholic drink at the ice bar. There is a short presentation on the area and the building of the Ice Domes with its restaurant and bars, changing from the original Ice Domes in its first season to a functional hotel made of Ice. Afterwards, take the transfer back to Tromso, arriving at approximately 18.00
