Whale Watching, Vancouver

from £96
4–6 hours Apr-Oct
canada british columbia vancouver island orca istk

Every summer, some eighty individual orca whales visit the waters south of Vancouver to feed with the result that whale watching here has an impressive 85% rate of success.

These fascinating black and white creatures are a large species of dolphin and are highly intelligent, working in groups to hunt, fish and survive in the often harsh marine environments.

However, these enthralling creatures are not the only wildlife you can see on this tour, and you are likely to encounter Dall’s porpoises, seals, sea lions and even bald eagles on occasion. Minke whales and sea elephants are also sighted in the area, but rarely, so we encourage you to keep your eyes on the water at all times.

You will cruise protected from the elements in covered, comfortable, high-speed boats equipped with washroom facilities. Departures: 01 Apr-08 Jun, daily at 11am; 09 Jun-03 Sep, daily at 9am & 2pm; 04 Sep-31 Oct, daily at 11am.
