For children the desire to meet Santa Claus in person is top of the list, while for adults evoking feel-good memories of times past is sure to bring a warm glow. During winter, Lapland’s sprawling natural landscape of forests, lakes and fells is transformed into a magical snow-covered wilderness. And during December, as the daylight dwindles, an atmospheric light, known as ‘kaamos’ illuminates the landscape in hues of blue and purple. Welcome to Christmas in Lapland!
