Embark on a captivating train journey through the heart of Andalucía, exploring the region’s most iconic cities, Seville, Cádiz, Granada, Córdoba, and Málaga, each offering unforgettable nights of culture, cuisine, and charm. Travelling by train through Andalucía is a seamless and scenic way to experience southern Spain, with efficient rail connections linking these vibrant destinations without the stress of driving. The journeys themselves are comfortable and picturesque, passing olive groves, rolling hills, and historic towns. With frequent services, modern trains, and centrally located stations, rail travel allows you to fully immerse yourself in Andalucía’s rich culture, Moorish architecture, lively plazas, and exceptional cuisine, all at a relaxed pace that perfectly reflects the Andalucían way of life.

Your adventure begins in Seville, the vibrant capital of Andalucía, where flamenco rhythms, golden sunsets over the Guadalquivir, and architectural marvels like the Alcázar and the towering Giralda set the tone for an inspiring trip. After soaking in the city’s energy and warm hospitality, the train carries you onward to the Atlantic coast.

In Cádiz, one of Europe’s oldest cities, you’ll be surrounded by shimmering sea views, ancient fortifications, and a laid-back coastal atmosphere. Wander narrow streets lined with colourful buildings, taste fresh seafood, and experience the relaxed rhythm of life that defines this sunlit port city.

From the coast, board a scenic train inland to Córdoba, once the intellectual and cultural heart of Al-Andalus. The highlight is the breathtaking Mezquita, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. Stroll through atmospheric patios, flower-filled courtyards, and medieval lanes that reveal layers of history at every turn.

Next, travel to Granada, where Moorish heritage takes centre stage. Here, the Alhambra’s intricate palaces and lush gardens overlook a city filled with lively tapas bars and historic neighbourhoods like Albaicín. Granada’s blend of cultures and mountain backdrop makes it one of Spain’s most enchanting stops.

Finally, your journey concludes in Málaga, a dynamic city on the Costa del Sol that perfectly balances history, culture, and seaside relaxation. Explore the Picasso Museum, wander the hilltop Alcazaba, or unwind along sandy beaches while enjoying the Mediterranean atmosphere and vibrant local cuisine.

Seville

A stay in Seville offers an enticing blend of history, culture, and effortless charm. The Andalucían capital is a city best explored at a relaxed pace, where grand monuments, sunlit plazas, and winding medieval lanes sit side by side. You will be welcomed by the scent of orange blossoms, the sound of horse-drawn carriages echoing through the streets, and the unmistakable rhythm of flamenco drifting from tavern doors.

Most travellers centre their visit around the city’s three greatest landmarks: the Cathedral, crowned by the iconic Giralda Tower; the spellbinding Real Alcázar, with its Moorish architecture and tranquil gardens; and the vast, semi-circular Plaza de España, one of Spain’s most impressive public spaces. Yet the true magic of Seville often lies in its neighbourhoods. Wander through the Santa Cruz district, a labyrinth of narrow lanes and hidden courtyards, or cross the river to Triana, known for its ceramics, tapas bars, and vibrant local atmosphere.
