Excellent. The best thing is the superb scenery. The weather is inevitably unpredictable & changes quickly but that goes with the scenery! The Havila boat had an excellent comfortable and roomy cabin and high quality food. Concerns expressed on some websites about portion sizes are groundless; I have a big appetite and if I wanted some more I just asked & the friendly staff were happy to provide it!

Norway is a wonderful place to visit and we would recommend it to all. There were a few hiccups with Discover the World in the booking process but it all got sorted. We started our trip visiting friends in Bergen. Then caught the Hurtigruten Costal Express upto Trondheim. Seeing the fjords from the water was stunning. We then had a night in Trondheim and we liked it a lot, our sort of place. Interesting things to see and a compact city centre. We picked up a car from Hertz and we wouldn't recommend them. The reception staff weren't really helpful. No one came out to show us the car. It didn't have a full tank of fuel and waring lights came on stating it need a service, although it did us OK on our drive back to Bergen. Our trip took us to Kristiansund, Alesund, Stranda, Sogndal, Flam and Loftus before returning to Bergen. Wonderful sights and very good hotels. This is at mid-summer and days are long. Stunning evening skies though remember in Norway it rains a lot and we did need our waterproofs. But we did have sunny days and a few great hikes. We're veggies so eating out basically consisted of pizza and veggie burger and remember that the cost of food and alcohol are high compared to home, well where we live they are. Very little need for cash, card is king apparently. Norway is a wonderful place with fantastic scenery. Discover the World created a great holiday and we had a great time.

The hotels, without exception were first class. The ferry to Stockholm was magical. We used guides at all the capitals and they gave us a clear insight into buildings, areas and people.
The location of all the hotels was ideal.

The cabin in the prow of the ship was superb with floor to ceiling windows.
Unfortunately the fine dining room was closed where we we supposrd to have breakfast lunch snd dinner through lack of staff. We had a strangely served. Breakfast there but no other meals .
We ate in the main restaurant but had to queue up for a specific time or eat at the cafe. Food average

Fabulous holiday with gorgeous scenery and very comfortable hotels in great locations

Wonderful relaxing cruise through outstanding scenery. Havila Castor was perfect for us , being a small ship. Cabin was excellent and the shower was great too. Food on board was of high quality and all the crew members were so friendly .We enjoyed all the excursions that we took.

We tailored it to exactly what we wanted and it was just incredible. Everything went to plan and Iceland is stunning. It took a while (and lots of patience from the helpful travel consultants) to get the holiday exactly how we wanted it, but it was perfect!

Great well organised holiday

Everything I had hoped and asked and wished for, was met. Our cabin was amazing, very, clean and warm, food was great with lots of choice - even when lunch was during an excursion they managed to look after a pescatarian, veg hater and the more normal amongst us! The guides were fabulous and really looked after each member on the various expeditions. Finally, although we saw slight auroras each night, on the final night she really put on a show for us. Truly blessed.

We followed a month-long tour of both the North and South Islands, from Auckland to Christchurch and many places in between. We were happy to follow a typical tourist route in general - to see many of the places everyone wants to experience. In addition, we had some specific requests that Discover the World made possible - example include, visiting friends we had not met for decades, visiting the Dark Skies experience on the South Island. We recommend a month as a minimum, many folks we met were taking longer to enjoy more experiences

Perfect setting. Very isolated which added to the overall trip. Everyone was extremely helpful and made sure all our needs were satisfied. The location, lodges, activities, food was all first class. And we saw the Aurora…. Perfect 👌

Overall, Nellim is in a beautiful location. Activities on offer were enjoyable; which I could have carried on with them all day. There is much to explore which merits more than one visit.

Excellent holiday. We mainly stayed in hotels with a couple of B&B which were good. We enjoyed all the trips. Unfortunately a couple of things were cancelled because of the weather.
