Christmas Markets

Set against the stunning backdrop of snow-dusted mountains and colourful wooden houses, the Bergen Christmas Market (Julemarked) brings Norway’s coastal charm to life each December. Located in the heart of the city at Festplassen, the market captures the cosy spirit of Bergen with its blend of tradition, creativity, and festive joy.

Rows of wooden chalets glow under strings of twinkling lights, offering handmade crafts, knitwear, and local delicacies. Visitors can savour Norwegian favourites like smoked salmon, reindeer burgers, and warm gløgg while browsing for unique Christmas gifts. A highlight for families is the Ferris wheel and Christmas carousel, offering magical views over Bergen’s winter skyline.
