Overview

Alaska's breathtaking Inside Passage combines lush coastal rainforest, deep blue fjords and sparkling glaciers, and is home to prolific wildlife. This twin-centre holiday incorporates some of the region's highlights, from the grizzly bears of Admiralty Island to the icy wonderland of Glacier Bay.

Spend time exploring Alaska's capital city, Juneau, hemmed in by mountains and the sea with an abundance of wildlife right on the doorstep. From Juneau you'll travel by floatplane over a fragmented landscape of fjords, islands and glacier-strewn mountains to reach remote Admiralty Island, home to over 1500 grizzlies as well as Sitka black-tailed deer, bald eagles and sea lions.

Your next stop is Gustavus, gateway to spectacular Glacier Bay and its numerous tidewater glaciers, best viewed from the water on an included day-cruise. You'll also enjoy an excursion by boat into Icy Strait, a popular feeding ground for the region's humpback whales and wealth of other marine wildlife.

This is the ideal package for nature lovers and independent travellers, making use of boat trips and flight-seeing to provide a great alternative to a cruise holiday.
