Witness the Jäniskoski rapids at River Juutua and head out on an Aurora Camp adventure—chasing the elusive northern lights and enjoy drinks and snack around an open fire.
Itinerary
You will be met on arrival at Ivalo Airport and transferred to Inari Wilderness Hotel. Check into your accommodation where you will spend the next 3 nights.
Inari Wilderness Hotel
This morning you will visit the Siida – Sami Museum and Nature Center, which features both indoor and outdoor exhibits full of information about Sámi culture, history, and the northern nature.
After Siida visit we will have a charming sightseeing tour around Inari village and Jäniskoski rapids at River Juutua. The parish village of Inari is the heart of Finland’s Sámi culture, captivating visitors and locals alike with its unique wild nature and diverse cultures.
After dinner, head out in search of the northern lights. The aurora camp is where you will have the best possibilities to observe the evening sky and hopefully even see the magical aurora. At camp your guide will prepare small snacks and warm drinks by the open fire.
Today enjoy a relaxing hike in beautiful surroundings of the Inari village. In autumn the nature is full of beautiful colours and curious animals. Your guide will tell you interesting facts about Finnish nature and if you have a bit of luck with you, maybe you’ll see some reindeer. You will have lunch by the open fire during the trip.
After breakfast it is time to say goodbye to your hosts.
