Over 350km north of the Arctic Circle, in the heart of taiga forest, the location of Nellim sets it apart with its spectacular views overlooking Lake Inari. This is pure wilderness territory, yet under an hour from Ivalo airport.
There is a choice of different breaks which include full board, offer a range of inclusive activities, use of toboggans as well as use of a traditional Finnish sauna which is available to warm up after the day’s adventures. The remote location also provides a great opportunity to hopefully see the northern lights.

Aurora Snowshoe
Snowshoeing on the frozen lake during night time is an adventure of its own. You wander on the lake and surrounding wilderness heading for the camp, where you sit back with hot drinks while gazing at the sky, waiting for the aurora to appear.

Reindeer Day Snowmobiling
Start the day with a guided snowmobile tour to the reindeer farm to meet the herders. Enjoy lunch of reindeer soup and warming drinks by the open fire before heading back.

Snowmobiling
You will receive driving and safety instructions before a short lesson and then once ready, take to the trails through the forests and over frozen lakes in the beautiful winter surroundings.

Aurora Snowmobiling
After driving instructions head out to the big sky spots with higher chances of seeing the northern lights. The distance travelled will depend on weather and hopefully stops to watch the light show.

Enjoy the beautiful scenery while learning the art of snowshoeing and your guide will share stories about the Finnish nature along the way.

Husky Safari
Receive full instructions before hitting the trail on and around Lake Inari passing through the beautiful winter scenery. Afterwards lunch is served. Time on sled is around 1 hour.

Aurora Camp
Gaze at the night sky on the sled journey to the camp, which is in a remote location far from light pollution. Warm up with a hot drink and an open fire and hopefully the aurora will dance across the sky.

Cross Country Skiing
The traditional Nordic winter sport is definitely something you have to try on your trip. After instruction from the guide follow a scenic route stopping for photos and warm drinks on the way.

Ice Fishing with Snowmobile Sled
Make yourself comfortable in the sled pulled by your guide’s snowmobile to one of the many frozen lakes idea for ice fishing. Once you find the best spot, make a camp and try your luck.

Visit the nearby camp which is in a great location for aurora viewing, away from light pollution. Learn about the science behind the phenomenon and tips on aurora photography

Aurora Hunt by Car
Your expert guide will drive you in a warm vehicle to the areas with the best potential for seeing the aurora that evening. Hot drinks will be provided to keep the cold away whilst gazing skyward.

Learn fascinating insights about Sámi culture and the life of these remarkable animals. You'll also have the chance to feed the reindeer.

Family Husky Safari
Journey through stunning lakes and forests led by your own team of dogs! Each sled accommodates two guests—the adult driving and the other passenger seated in the sleigh. Time on sled is around 30-45 minutes
