Tropical North Queensland offers a wealth of Aboriginal experiences, lush rainforest and beautiful beaches. But undoubtedly the biggest draw is the spectacular Great Barrier Reef, home to dazzling corals and a wealth of marine life.
This action-packed introduction to the region includes a full day tour to Cape Tribulation and Mossman Gorge including a Daintree River cruise, a full day excursion to Agincourt Reef, where you will have the opportunity to experience the reef from the comfort of a pontoon. Here you may snorkel, dive or stay dry and view the underwater world from a semi-submersible.

Also included is a trip to the rainforest town of Kuranda and a visit to the award-winning Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park. Your base for 6-nights is the laid-back oasis of Port Douglas, a colourful tropical town fringed by sandy beaches, followed by the cosmopolitan hub of Cairns.

Day 1: Port Douglas

On arrival at Cairns Airport you will be transferred to your hotel in Port Douglas. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Port Douglas.

Day 2: Mossman Gorge

Visit the rainforest and landscapes of Cape Tribulation. Visit Mossman Gorge and enjoy and indigenous presentation by the traditional owner. Wind through the Alexander Range and stop at a spectacular lookout for views of Snapper Island beyond the Coral Sea before a Daintree River cruise.

Day 3: Great Barrier Reef

An experience of a lifetime today – cruise out to an underwater world that is a dazzling kaleidoscope of colour and brilliance – Agincourt Reef at the very edge of Australia’s Continental Shelf. You can dive, snorkel or just stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a Quicksilver semi-submersible craft, just one metre underwater. Watch the fish feeding from Quicksilver’s unique underwater viewing platform and underwater observatory. Enjoy a delicious tropical buffet lunch before heading to Cairns for the next three nights.

Day 4: Kuranda

Board the Kuranda Scenic Railway for an amazing journey, as you travel on one of the world’s most scenic rail routes, through hand-hewn tunnels and over bridges spanning spectacular gorges, to the picturesque village of Kuranda. On arrival there’s free time to explore the ‘village in the rainforest’ and its many attractions, including the Heritage Markets full of colourful and interesting arts and crafts. Afterwards, board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway* and travel high above the Barron Gorge National Park through some of the oldest rainforest in the world, on your way back down to Cairns.

Day 5: Cairns

Today is a free day. Relax and unwind or discover any number of Cairns hidden gems.

Day 6: Depart Cairns

You will be transferred to Cairns Airport today to connect with your onward flight.
