Extend your South Greenland holiday with 2 nights in Qaqortoq, the biggest town in South Greenland. The area around Qaqortoq has been inhabited since prehistoric times, but the present-day town was only founded in 1774 and christened Julianehaab after the Danish queen Juliane Marie. The town became a major centre for the saddle-back seal trade and today remains the home of the Great Greenland sealskin tannery.

Day 1: Transfer to Qaqortoq

Transfer to Narsarsuaq pier and by boat through Erik's Fjord to Qaqortoq. On arrival tansfer to the hotel for check-in and information meeting by our local representative followed by a guided city walk.

Day 2: Day at leisure in Qaqortoq

Day at leisure in Qaqortoq for optional excursions, explore the natural wonder that is the hot springs of Unartoq or Visit the Viking ruins such as Hvalsey Church ruin, mentioned in the Icelandic Sagas.

Day 3: Boat cruise to Narsarsuaq

After Breakfast at hotel transfer to the pier for your return boat cruise to Narsarsuaq. On arrival transfer to your Hotel or the Airport.
