Itinerary
After checking in to your hotel explore Reykjavik independently and enjoy dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants that the capital has to offer.
Start the day with a soak in the Blue Lagoon, surrounded by scenic lava fields. Continue to the Reykjanes Peninsula to discover geothermal hot springs, rugged mountains, and unique landscapes. Finish the day with a guided city tour of Reykjavik and a local gourmet tasting.
This morning you will have some free time in the capital before preparing for the incredible Solar Eclipse. As the moon moves in front of the sun, the sky will darken and turn into an awe-inspiring moment of nature’s power. You will be provided with special Solar Eclipse glasses, ensuring you can safely witness this rare event. For an even better view, there will be a telescope set up at a cozy restaurant, where you’ll be able to marvel at the sky in comfort.
The experience will conclude with a delightful 3-course dinner and a glass of sparkling wine allowing you to reflect on the extraordinary sights and sounds of the day.
It is also possible to witness this extraordinary event aboard a spacious boat designed for comfort, on a 3 to 3.5-hour tour across the waters of Faxaflói Bay. This unique vantage point offers an immersive and unforgettable experience, creating lasting memories of one of nature’s most rare and awe-inspiring events.
*While this tour is designed to offer the best possible viewing experience, please note that clear skies cannot be guaranteed for Solar Eclipse Day. Like the northern lights, this rare celestial event depends on natural conditions beyond our control. Every effort will be made to provide an unforgettable experience, whether on land or water. Itineraries may be adjusted accordingly.
Discover the wonders of Iceland’s Golden Circle. Visit Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, marvel at the thundering Gullfoss waterfall, and witness the erupting geysers. Conclude the day with a taste of Icelandic hot spring bread, served with butter, boiled eggs, and herring—a true local delicacy. A perfect day for food enthusiasts!
