Swedish Lapland Adventure at Mattarahkka

This small group tour was amazing!!! The tour company GJ Travels and our amazing Guide Simone de Greef were amazing. Iceland is amazing.
This tour hits 3 distinct areas of west and southern Iceland so you get a great overview of the country. Everything from city and village life, lava, waterfalls, glaciers, ice caves, mountains and coast line. We learned so much from our guide about the history, geology and people of Iceland as well as the northern lights and how to photograph them. She even attempted to teach us to speak a little Icelandic. Our van was comfortable and we appreciated the cell phone charging ports in transit. The accommodations were great, and the food in the hotels, at special tastings and the stops while on the road was all delicious. The Icelandic butter and fresh bread at every meal was a highlight for me. There were a couple of vegetarians in our group and I was often envious of their meal. There were no snafus or problems and everyone we met was gracious and helpful. From beginning to end we had a smile on our face and our group laughed a lot. BEST Adventure Ever.

Costa Rica has so much to offer and our Tailor Made trip ticked all the boxes. We will have memories of excursions, people and wildlife that will stay with us forever.

Incredible scenery , beautiful country, very friendly

The trip itself was incredible—Sweden’s autumn colours were breathtaking, with vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows creating a stunning backdrop for every outing. From peaceful walks through forests to exploring charming towns, the experience felt both relaxing and well-planned. Overall, it was a smooth, stress-free holiday that exceeded expectations. The cabins at Brandon Lodge were amazing, comfortable, warm and with beautiful views. Absolutely stunning, the staff at Brandon were just perfect, we went during 'shoulder season' so it was lovely and quiet which is jut what we wanted, on some days we practically had the place to ourselves. I must mention the food, you would not have had better food at a Michelin starred restaurant, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. A perfect holiday.

We traveled across Canada from the west coast to Nova Scotia on the east coast. Travelling, mainly, by train with hire cars at either end. It was a superb holiday, saw lots of wildlife including bears and whales, changing landscapes as we crossed the country and met some fantastic Canadians.

Great arrangements, smooth travel plans, beautiful hotels, amazing scenery and fabulous suggested itinerary and ideas for trip.

Excellent trip which I’ve now done twice. Wonderful scenery. I’d say the hikes were moderate rather than easy but all very enjoyable

Great third week on Vancouver island with organised nature tours. Lovely hotels and good hire car. First two weeks on organised through Rockies tour. Lovely hotels, food, tour group was a bit large .
Also route would have been better doing Whistler before Vancouver
Overall a fantastic holiday

Excellent. The best thing is the superb scenery. The weather is inevitably unpredictable & changes quickly but that goes with the scenery! The Havila boat had an excellent comfortable and roomy cabin and high quality food. Concerns expressed on some websites about portion sizes are groundless; I have a big appetite and if I wanted some more I just asked & the friendly staff were happy to provide it!

Norway is a wonderful place to visit and we would recommend it to all. There were a few hiccups with Discover the World in the booking process but it all got sorted. We started our trip visiting friends in Bergen. Then caught the Hurtigruten Costal Express upto Trondheim. Seeing the fjords from the water was stunning. We then had a night in Trondheim and we liked it a lot, our sort of place. Interesting things to see and a compact city centre. We picked up a car from Hertz and we wouldn't recommend them. The reception staff weren't really helpful. No one came out to show us the car. It didn't have a full tank of fuel and waring lights came on stating it need a service, although it did us OK on our drive back to Bergen. Our trip took us to Kristiansund, Alesund, Stranda, Sogndal, Flam and Loftus before returning to Bergen. Wonderful sights and very good hotels. This is at mid-summer and days are long. Stunning evening skies though remember in Norway it rains a lot and we did need our waterproofs. But we did have sunny days and a few great hikes. We're veggies so eating out basically consisted of pizza and veggie burger and remember that the cost of food and alcohol are high compared to home, well where we live they are. Very little need for cash, card is king apparently. Norway is a wonderful place with fantastic scenery. Discover the World created a great holiday and we had a great time.

The hotels, without exception were first class. The ferry to Stockholm was magical. We used guides at all the capitals and they gave us a clear insight into buildings, areas and people.
The location of all the hotels was ideal.
