“Communication with Discover the World Education was excellent with prompt email replies – sometimes out of office hours which was very useful as that’s often when there’s most time to do trip planning.
Trips were well planned with ticketing and guides well prepared. The local tour agent was excellent – communication via Whatsapp was particularly useful.
There were many highlights but trekking across the recent lava fields on Etna was very enlightening. Guides were generally very knowledgeable and provided well pitched explanations.”

“This was the first time I have ever organised a residential abroad and having been to Iceland before, I wanted to give this opportunity to our students at Wales High School.
Arriving in Keflavik and heading straight to the Blue Lagoon was a real highlight for our students. Although we arrived late to the first hotel, the staff kept the kitchen open for us and the evening meal and breakfast were fantastic.
The waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss, Skogar and Gulfoss were eye opening for our students and they loved the black sand beaches at Reynisfjara as they were just spectacular. Our guide even had the entire group doing yoga in one of the caves next to the basalt columns!
Visiting Reykjavik and Geysir showed real contrasts in such a wonderfully friendly country.
One of the real highlights was the glacier walk, which we would recommend to all groups, #crampons.
Overall, a trip to the land of fire and ice that our students will never forget, a geography students dream trip, we loved it! #icelandicclapsallaround”
