A bit about me…

My passion for Iceland began whilst undertaking a Masters degree in Environmental Geoscience at the University of Iceland, Reykjavik, during which time I travelled the country extensively, conducting volcanology and glaciology field trips for research.

To immerse herself in the Icelandic culture, I have even taken on the challenging task of learning the language, which I studied on a recent trip to the small town of Isafjordur in the Westfjords.

Why I love being a Teacher Tour Leader…

As a current Head of Science, being a Teacher Tour Leader allows me to combine my love of science & geography with my enthusiasm for leading school trips. Though I have led schools to destinations such as Ukraine, Slovakia and New York, my real expertise is Iceland.

My Favourite Place in Iceland…

My favourite destination in Iceland is Landmannalaugar, especially relaxing in the hot springs after a day hiking in the rhyolite mountains.
