Exclusive to UK schools travelling with Discover the World Education
This friendly and family run hotel offers 88 rooms on top of a hill near Vik and has magnificent views of the surrounding area. Growing quickly, in 1993 the hotel was just a small guesthouse of six rooms, however the beauty of the Dyrholaey peninsula and the surrounding landscape has meant that the hotel has become popular, particularly with school groups.
Beyond the sea, rolling farmland and the Dyrholaey national nature reserve can be seen whilst the Myrdalsjokull icecap glitters in the northern sun. The dining room offers tasty Icelandic dishes served alongside magnificent bay views.
