1

Bordeaux city tour

After arriving in Bordeaux, meet your Language School Tour Leader. Get acquainted  with a tour of the city and visit key landmarks including the historic centre, Place des Quinconces, Le Miroir d’Eau, Place de la Bourse, the Cathédrale Saint-André, and Pey Berland Tower.

Market visit and cooking workshop

Start with a tailored 1-hour workshop at the Newdeal Institut language school

At Bordeaux’s famous markets, students will practice their conversational skills by bartering with local vendors, asking questions and completing a shopping list. They’ll also sample some local delicacies. 

Next, get a taste of Bordeaux’s culture with a French cooking workshop. Students will learn cooking techniques, taste new foods, and prepare classic dishes like cannelés, crêpes, or quiches.

3

Excursion to the Atlantic seaside resort of Arcachon

Today, you’ll explore the Atlantic seaside resort of Arcachon, famous for oysters and its stunning coastal setting. 

The town is split into four quarters, each named after a season: Ville d’Été, the tourist hub with beaches, restaurants, and boutiques; Ville d’Hiver, the historic centre with 19th-century villas; Ville de Printemps, home to quieter, scenic beaches in the west; and Ville d’Automne, a port area known for excellent fish restaurants.

While in Arcachon, visit Dune de Pilat, the tallest sand dune in Europe at 110m in height!

4

Board Game Olympics and game of pétanque

Begin with a two-hour tailored language workshop at the Newdeal Institut

After lunch, enjoy the Board Game Olympics! Students will rotate around three or four different board games, competing in French to win points for their team and learning through fun and repetition. 

Finish with a classic French game of pétanque
