A bit about me…

I have taught KS3 – KS5 Geography in a number of secondary schools since qualifying in 2004. I am currently Head of Geography and Pupil Premium Coordinator at a successful secondary school in Cambridgeshire. The Geography department were awarded the Geographical Association’s Secondary Geography Quality Mark (SGQM) for the second time in 2017. I am also a Specialist Leader of Education for Geography in the Cambridgeshire and Suffolk Schools Alliance (CASSA).

Why I love being a Teacher Tour Leader…

Since my first visit to Iceland in 2008, I have been in awe of the spectacular, ever changing landscapes and I couldn’t wait to start taking groups of students to see the land of ice and fire – something I have been doing since 2013. Iceland has it all, it really brings Geography to life!

My favourite thing to do in Iceland…

There are so many different things to do in Iceland, it’s hard to narrow it down. From walking through Thingvellir national park, to standing behind Seljalandsfoss waterfall, seeing how the glacial landscapes are changing and, of course, soaking in the geothermal pools.

My favourite place in Iceland…

From my first visit to Iceland, Gulfoss has never lost its power or charm. The spectacular waterfall is amazing come rain, blizzard or shine. But you can’t just have one favourite place in Iceland…
