A bit about me...
I was a Tour Leader for an adventure travel company working in Europe, Africa and South America for 4 years before becoming an Operations Manager for the same company. I worked for the British Red Cross in Emergency Response but I missed travel and came back to Operations in 2015.
What drew you to the travel industry?
A love of adventure, seeing different places, meeting new people and roaming outside of my comfort zone and the guarantee that every day is going to be different.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing the impact that our school trips have on students. I love solving any issues that arise on trips and ensuring our groups have the best possible time.
Which is your favourite DTWE destination?
The Azores – every island is so different, you really feel the power of the elements as you explore these beautiful islands in the middle of the ocean. An amazing destination for hiking there is so much to discover.
Do you have any hidden gem activities to recommend?
It is too big to be hidden but climbing mount Pico in the dark and getting to experience sunrise on the strato-volcano is stunning.
What are your top tips for organising the best school trip possible?
Liaise closely with your guide. Be clear about what you want your kids to experience and learn and they will help you create an unforgettable trip.
