High Atlas Mountains
The tallest mountains in North Africa provide a natural barrier between the coast in western Morocco and desert areas to the east. The spectacular mountains are the source of many of Morocco’s rivers and home to numerous rural settlements living from the land, whilst the varied microclimates are home to unique ecosystems.
Overnight Desert Camp
This unforgettable adventure sees you trek across the Sahara desert with camels before spending the night in traditional Berber tents. You’ll marvel at the fabulous night sky before watching the sun rise over the vast dunes. A ‘must-do’ desert experience.
Tizi n’Tichka Pass
The awe-inspiring Tizi n’Tichka Pass winds east over the Atlas Mountains through verdant foothills and past Berber villages to the highest point at 2,092m. On the descent, pass through the arid regions of the pre-Sahara.
Ait Ben Haddou
This UNESCO World Heritage site is an ancient Berber village built on a former caravan route. It is a popular film location and has appeared in the epics Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.
Djemaa el Fnaa, Marrakech
The bustling centre of Marrakech’s old quarter is a must for any visitor. The country’s largest souk is packed with colourful stalls whilst at night, food stalls, acrobats, dancers, snake charmers and musicians fill the vibrant open air square.
