Resilience and Wellbeing Trips

Well-being [noun]

The state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy.

Resilience [noun]

The capacity to recover quickly from difficulties.

Just looking at the definitions of these two words demonstrates the importance of increasing them in students, especially in the aftermath of the global pandemic.

At Discover the World Education, we have always felt that school trips are much bigger then they seem. Visiting a new country, trying a new activity and experiencing a new culture, literally has the power to shape one young person’s future. That is why travel, and in particular school trips, has a unique role to play in building students’ resilience and wellbeing.

We have teamed up with our partners, Critical Thinkers, and designed school trips where the sole purpose is to build students’ self-esteem, confidence, team-work, and resilience, whilst also giving them a moment to reflect and take in their epic outdoor surroundings, after months of having to stay inside.

You can check out our itineraries below to see what a resilience and wellbeing school trip looks like. Alternatively, if you are looking to combine a resilience school trip with an academic or curriculum focused one, you can talk to a travel specialist about designing a bespoke trip to meet the needs of you and your students.

Plus, for a limited time only, anyone who books a school trip with us will receive a free teacher webinar on building resilience whilst away, along with expert advice on pastoral care from our in house expert, Karen Corfield.
