A bit about me…

I worked as a teacher, for three years London and four years in Dubai. Living and working in the UAE allowed me to visit destinations I could only dream of and further ignited my passion for travel. Upon returning to the UK, I wanted to combine this passion with my teaching experience. Discover the World Education couldn’t of been a better fit!

What do you love most about your job?

I love that I can combine my passion for travel with my experience in education. It brings me a great sense of achievement knowing I am still contributing to student’s experiences, in a way that will stay with them forever.

What is your favourite way to spend time when travelling?

I’m a big foodie, so I’m always interested in the best locations to grab something to eat that’s local and tasty. Fermented shark might not be it! A bit of research goes a long way in providing the best value and tastiest experiences.

What is your most memorable travel moment?

Skydiving over Lake Taupo is probably my most memorable moment. I was terrified beforehand, however it was one of the most exhilarating experiences and one I will never forget.

Visiting Petra in Jordan is another moment I will never forget. We arrived early, before all the tourists and were the only ones there. Seeing the houses carved into the sandstone, with no one else around was spectacular.

What is your must-pack item?

My kindle-with the amount I read my suitcase would be full of books!
