A bit about me…

I previously taught Geography and Travel & Tourism in a sixth form college for 16 years before embarking on a career change into the travel industry. I completed a Master’s degree in Tourism Studies whilst teaching to better understand the industry and from this decided to combine my educational skills with my travel knowledge.

What do you love most about your job?

I enjoy putting together educational experiences for students and opening up a world of opportunities to explore new locations and cultures. These memorable trips will often stay with students forever. I am also a Trained Teacher Tour Leader and enjoy sharing my knowledge of Iceland, having visited there for over 20 years.

What are some of your most memorable travel moments?

• Memorable moments include hiking in Iceland from Landmannalaugar into Thormsork and being in such a remote and wild landscape.
• Watching black bears in their natural habitat in British Columbia
• Being in the path of totality during solar eclipse of North America and seeing the sun’s corona and the changes to light and temperature. Such a magical experience.
