Louise Mitchell

A bit about me…

I started working in the travel industry after completing my degree in Events Management. I decided to move into this career as I love travel myself, and have seen the massive impact that travel can have on people. My favourite places to travel have been Slovenia and Croatia, and being able to write my own itineraries and plan every aspect of my trips is what made me realise I’d love to be in this line of work.  

I was able to lead an expedition to Norway in the summer of 2023 and take 19 students out for a week of wild camping, hiking and canoeing. It honestly felt like I brought new kids home with me! Educational travel is such an important stepping stone to building well rounded students and teachers alike. I’m so glad that I get the opportunity to be part of that journey. 

What do you love most about your job?

I love having a big team who is always happy to help solve problems together so that we can deliver a seamless trip for all our teams. 

What are some of your most memorable travel moments?

• Canyoning in Croatia 
• Hiking unmarked trails in Slovenia and getting to see Lake Bled 
• Paragliding in Tenerife  
• Canoeing for 2 days down the Otra River
