A bit about me…

I started my career in 1990 on a youth training scheme at Lunn Poly holiday shops. After working for various UK tour operators, I joined Discover the Word Education in 2013 to use my skills i the educational travel market.

What drew you to the travel industry?

I love travelling & talking about destinations I have been too. It’s wonderful to share what I’ve learned to help schools plan an unforgettable itinerary.

What is your most memorable travel moment?

Climbing Mount Pico in the Azores – 2,351 metres high with unbelievable views!

Which excursion or activity do you most recommend?

Glacier Walk, from putting on the crampons, to hiking on the Glacier, it is an amazing activity.

What is your top tips for organising the best school trip possible?

Start organising a trip in advance (as early as possible, 18-24 months before) and be organised!

Have you discovered any hidden gems in the destinations you specialise in?

Azores – Gruta das Torres – One of the longest lava tubes in the world, measuring 5km in length – Wonderful experience.
