Introduction

Small but perfectly formed, the Coral Expeditions II is ideal for expedition cruising and even features its own glass bottom boat for additional marine exploration.

The Coral Expeditions II was custom-designed for cruising Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Although equipped with the facilities of a much larger vessel, she is small enough to navigate shallow reefs and allow snorkelling and kayaking directly from the ship. The ship even carries a glass bottom boat to enable a greater understanding of the reef and its residents without getting wet, with the onboard marine biologist at hand to explain the various species that can be seen through the boat’s magnified glass floor.

On board the Coral Expeditions II you will find a casual atmosphere and knowledgeable Australian staff. The ship’s spacious lounge is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink from the cocktail bar in air-conditioned comfort. It also features a comprehensive reference library and plasma screens. The large sun deck is another popular place to relax and take in the sights, and is the perfect spot for al fresco dining under the stars.

The guest cabins feature traditional maritime stylings and wood panelled walls, and each has a private ensuite bathroom, air conditioning and ample storage space. All cabins feature large picture windows, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the spectacular scenery.

Like its sister ship the Coral Expeditions I, the Coral Expeditions II operates an open bridge policy, allowing you to spend time with the Captain and his crew. Meals are served in the atmospheric dining room, and with space for all guests to dine during one sitting and no assigned seating, meal times are a great opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers.
