Farewell Harbour Lodge is a beautiful wilderness property ideally situated to experience the best of British Columbia’s whale watching and bear viewing opportunities.
Farewell Harbour Lodge is located on Berry Island, on 10 acres of forested land overlooking the renowned Broughton Archipelago Marine Park. To the east lies Knight Inlet, renowned for its grizzly bears, and to the west the Johnstone Straight and Robson Bight Ecological Reserve, home to one of the world’s largest resident pods of orca.
From this exceptional vantage point Farewell Harbour Lodge offers a comfortable and homely base from which to enjoy the region’s natural wonders. A highlight of the main lodge building is its wraparound deck boasting spectacular views and unforgettable sunsets, perhaps best enjoyed from the oceanside hot tub. Inside, the guest lounge, dining room and bar are enhanced by large windows and a brick fireplace.
Along the boardwalk 8 guest cabins spread out along the shore, each with an ensuite bathroom and harbour views. A ramp leads off the main lodge to a floating wing on the harbour, which features four additional suites.
Throughout the lodge unique design features incorporate natural cedar and local art, creating a distinctive, relaxing ‘west coast’ feel.
