This homely lodge, built almost entirely from wood grown in the nearby forests, offers a personal and friendly stay on the western shores of the General Carrera Lake. Its 9 rooms are simple, but well-appointed and all feature en suite bathroom facilities.
The communal lounge, warmed by a wood burning stove, provides a relaxing environment for guests to unwind and socialise with each other after a long day of exploring. And the on-site restaurant provides traditional, wholesome meals, using locally grown produce – much of it from the property’s very own vegetable garden. Box lunches can be provided for those wishing to head into the wilderness for a day trip.
The owners are committed to maximising the sustainability and eco friendliness of the lodge, so use solar panels to provide energy for heating, LED technology for lighting and biodegradable products for cleaning.
