Situated deep in the East Fjords in the pretty fishing village of Djupivogur, this charming wooden hotel has a selection of accommodation in 50 different rooms or houses. Beginning from the Djupivogur Harbour, where the hotel is situated, you can explore Bulandstindur Mountain, only 8km away, and much of the rocky and intriguing area around.

Hiking and cycling are both popular ways to explore the area and bikes can be rented on site, while the hotel staff is eager to give suggestions about walking trails and routes.

The hotel offers two excellent restaurants both featuring extensive menus with a special emphasis placed on the local seafood and fresh materials which are purchased daily at the quayside from local fishermen. Local draught beers, wines and spirits can be found in the bar while, during the summer months, many guests choose to dine on the restaurant’s terrace.

The hotel offers rooms with both private and shared facilities, while the summer houses include private kitchens and are ideal for groups that would like to self-cater.
