17 rooms set on a former northern farm, this beautifully situated property provides lovely views over the deep blue fjord and Ongulsstadir area. With plenty of walking routes in the region, this hotel is well placed for seeing the natural wonders of Iceland’s north on foot.

The outdoor hot tub offers wonderful views of the surrounding area and the property is only a 15 minute drive from the Hlidarfjall Ski Centre, should you visit in winter. The city of Akureyri is within easy reach as well. A breakfast buffet is served daily in the farm’s converted barn, making for a rustic but comfortable dining experience. Traditional Icelandic meals are available in the evening and the cosy bar is a nice place to sample some of the country’s local beverages.

All rooms feature a private bathroom and views of Eyjafjordur alongside the simple wooden décor.
