An intimate fifteen luxury tents, elevated atop rust-red dunes, complement the pristine natural environment and provide a private place to rest, relax and refresh. A spacious ensuite bathroom with oversized rain shower features a moving wall panel, so as the spectacular view may be enjoyed from every angle. All tents feature king beds with superior cotton linens, telephone, safe, wireless internet and the modern essential of climate control. Complimentary in-suite bar, iPad with entertainment and MP3 input complete the ultimate ‘glamping’ experience. Each luxury tent now has the addition of stylish new balconies, featuring day beds, armchairs and fireplaces, allowing guests to sleep under the stars admiring the southern sky above.

The property practices various sustainable initiatives and each guest tent has been carefully designed to have minimal impact on the delicate natural environment, standing lightly upon red sand dunes. Solar panels on each tent provide hot water heating, whilst a major solar installation at Ayers Rock Resort generates about 15% of Yulara’s average energy use, reducing the reliance on fossil fuels. Other initiatives include separation of recycling goods, the use of recycled water for gardens, using food compost from the kitchen on garden beds and growing a selection of fresh produce onsite to lessen their carbon footprint.

Above the sweeping canopy floats a great expanse of southern sky, endless and sparkling. Constellations brimming with Anangu (local Aboriginal people), tales and stories, beget the rich dreams found only in the heart of sacred, powerful places. As one of only a select number of guests, awake to your own private view of the sun rising over Uluru.

Longitude 131° offers the best of contemporary Australian cuisine. Breakfast begins early with freshly baked pastries, fruit and a la carte menu selection. Premium espresso coffee and a generous selection of fine leaf teas are signature elements. After a morning filled with walks, or simply spent relaxing with a book by the pool, appetites are up for lunch. The three-course menu offers a selection of seasonal treats and is deceptively light, leaving room for afternoon tea served to coincide with the departure of the afternoon activity. Dinner is a superb dining experience, be it under the canopy of the Dune House or a billion stars at Table 131°.
