Ideally located in the heart of Finnish Lakeland, and on the shores of Lake Saimaa, the Nature Hotel & Spa Resort Järvisydän is just a short boat ride from the Linnansaari National Park. The hotel offers a range of accommodation types suitable for couples and families alike and the famous Lake Spa is ideal for relaxation, swimming and a range of spa treatments.
Nature Hotel & Spa Resort Järvisydän is open year-round and offers a range of activities suitable for the season. In the summer, the popular lake activities include fishing, paddling, boat cruises, seal spotting, boat trips to the nearby national park and of course swimming in the lake. You can also rent bikes, canoes, kayaks and SUP boards. The surrounding forest is perfect for hiking, wildlife spotting and biking. The selection of wellness options includes different types of yoga, sound baths and general relaxation. The hotel hosts various music events throughout the year and just under an hour’s drive you will reach Savonlinna, where the famous month-long Savonlinna Opera Festival is held in July.
The accommodation options are extensive from standard hotel rooms, to villas, superior and themed suites, and to houseboats.
Restaurant Piikatyttö offers atmospheric breakfast and lunchtime dining experiences in the fun Savonian spirit. The new Restaurant Fire Kitchen offers locally sourced, seasonal dishes and the Restaurant Solitary, at the neighbouring adult only Kuru Resort, specialises in 6-couse Chef’s Menu featuring local and seasonal ingredients. The Forest Café (open Mon to Sat) serves delicious sweet and savoury snacks and drinks.

The Lake Spa offers unique spa and sauna experiences in natural surroundings. The Sauna World provides a variety of saunas for relaxation, including a traditional Finnish Sauna (+40C), Hamami Sauna with gentle heat (+40C), Steam Sauna (+55C), Infrared Sauna (+45C), Stone Sauna for sauna enthusiasts (+85C), and the summer Scenery Sauna with beautiful views of the lake (+70C).
The spa also offers 5 different pool experiences. The three indoor pools are all at an equal temperature of +31C; the Circulation Pool has massaging water-jets and allows you to swim against the flow of water, the boomerang-shaped Whirlpool is perfect for relaxation, and the children’s pool features a waterfall and a small slide for added fun. The two outdoor pools use fresh unheated water from Lake Saimaa and have varying temperatures depending on the time of year.
The adult-only romantic candlelit Evening Spa is perfect for couples to enjoy the facilities and amenities.
At the day spa, you can choose from a variety of massages and facials. These can be booked online or locally, subject to availability.
The main hotel building has 6 standard rooms, 12 suite rooms and 3 superior suite, two of which have a sauna. All are ensuite and have a balcony and superior suites and suite rooms feature a Jacuzzi bath.
Standard rooms sleep 2, while Superior Suites are suitable for up to 3 people and Suite Rooms are suitable for up to 6 people.
The Themed Suites are in separate buildings within the resort area. There are 18 Panorama Suites, 12 Forest Suites, Log Suites and 39 Scenery Suites.

The houseboats have one or two bedrooms with a double bed, an open plan living area and a kitchen with a gas cooker, wood-heated sauna, a bathroom with shower and WC and bathrobes. There are 2 terraces surrounding the Houseboat and a roof terrace with sunbeds and a barbeque. You can also take a swim in Lake Saimaa either from the pier or directly from the room. Houseboats are suitable for 2-4 people.
