The hotel offers a range of accommodation types suitable for couples and families alike and the famous Lake Spa is ideal for relaxation, swimming and a range of spa treatments.
Nature Hotel & Spa Resort Järvisydän is open year-round and offers a range of activities suitable for the season. In the summer, the popular lake activities include fishing, paddling, boat cruises, seal spotting, boat trips to the nearby national park and of course swimming in the lake. You can also rent bikes, canoes, kayaks and SUP boards. The surrounding forest is perfect for hiking, wildlife spotting and biking. The selection of wellness options includes different types of yoga, sound baths and general relaxation. The hotel hosts various music events throughout the year and just under an hour’s drive you will reach Savonlinna, where the famous month-long Savonlinna Opera Festival is held in July.
The accommodation options are extensive from standard hotel rooms, to villas, superior and themed suites, and to houseboats. Depending on the accommodation type, the room amenities range from lake view, panorama windows, balcony, sauna, Jacuzzi and fireplace. Dining
Restaurant Piikatyttö offers atmospheric breakfast and lunchtime dining experiences in the fun Savonian spirit. The new Restaurant Fire Kitchen offers locally sourced, seasonal dishes and the Restaurant Solitary, at the neighbouring adult only Kuru Resort, specialises in 6-couse Chef’s Menu featuring local and seasonal ingredients. The Forest Café (open Mon to Sat) serves delicious sweet and savoury snacks and drinks.
Spa & Sauna Experiences

The Lake Spa offers unique spa and sauna experiences in natural surroundings. The Sauna World provides a variety of saunas for relaxation, including a traditional Finnish Sauna (+40C), Hamami Sauna with gentle heat (+40C), Steam Sauna (+55C), Infrared Sauna (+45C), Stone Sauna for sauna enthusiasts (+85C), and the summer Scenery Sauna with beautiful views of the lake (+70C).
The spa also offers 5 different pool experiences. The three indoor pools are all at an equal temperature of +31C; the Circulation Pool has massaging water-jets and allows you to swim against the flow of water, the boomerang-shaped Whirlpool is perfect for relaxation, and the children’s pool features a waterfall and a small slide for added fun. The two outdoor pools use fresh unheated water from Lake Saimaa and have varying temperatures depending on the time of year.
The adult-only romantic candlelit Evening Spa is perfect for couples to enjoy the facilities and amenities.
At the day spa, you can choose from a variety of massages and facials. These can be booked online or locally, subject to availability.
Accommodation
With stunning lake views and surrounding forests, the Nature Hotel and Spa Resort Järvisydän offers warm atmosphere and an excellent choice of accommodation from idyllic hotel rooms and suites to villas and houseboats. Many of the rooms either have a balcony, terrace or large panoramic windows.
There is free Wi-Fi available throughout the resort and each room has a hairdryer, minibar, TV, tea and coffee-making facilities, central heating and hair care products. Additional amenities are mentioned under each room description.
Hotel Rooms
The main hotel building has 6 standard rooms, 12 suite rooms and 3 superior suites (2 of them have a sauna).
Hotel Standard rooms have a double bed, a balcony, shower & wc. Rooms are suitable for 2 people.
Hotel Superior Suites have a double bed and a sofa bed suitable for one person. The bathroom has a shower & wc and a Jacuzzi bath, and there is also a second toilet. Other amenities include a balcony, microwave, bathrobes, and an iron & ironing board. Some superior suites have a sauna. Suites are suitable for up to 3 people.
Hotel Suite Rooms have a living room & a small kitchen, equipped for 6 people. The bedroom has a double bed and in the sleeping gallery, there is a single bed plus a folding bed for one. The sofa bed in the living room is suitable for 2 people. The bathroom has a shower & wc, a Jacuzzi bath, and there is also a second toilet. Other amenities include a balcony and an iron & ironing board. Suite Rooms are suitable for up to 6 people.
Themed Suites
The Themed Suites are in separate buildings within the resort area. There are 18 Panorama Suites, 12 Forest Suites, Log Suites and 39 Scenery Suites.
Panorama Suites are positioned in a quiet location on top of a hill, about 500 metres from the hotel. The living room is equipped with a double bed, large panoramic windows (with curtains), and a kitchenette. There is an indoor sauna and an outdoor heated Jacuzzi on the terrace. The Panorama Suites overlook the natural landscape. The kitchenette is equipped for two people. The suite has air conditioning, microwave and bathrobes. Panorama Suites are suitable for 2 people.
Panorama Superior Suites have the same facilities and equipment as the Panorama Suites, but they also have a separate bedroom with a large double bed and it is possible to have two extra beds for children in the lounge. Panorama Superior Suites are suitable for 2 adults and 2 children.
Log Suites are located in the forest landscape, a short distance from the main hotel of Järvisydän. These modern suites are built using traditional log carving methods, giving the building a distinctive and cosy look. The Log Suites have a fully equipped kitchen, a large living area, sauna, and a terrace. There is also a fireplace, washing machine and a dryer. The main sleeping area is on the mezzanine floor and has a double bed with large skylight windows for romantic star-gazing. The skylight windows have blinds. The living area sofa bed serves as an extra bed for two children. Log Suites are suitable for 4 people.
Scenery Suites have a double bed (twin beds pushed together), fireplace, small living area, a kitchenette with a fridge and a microwave, and a bathroom/wc. The large, heated scenery windows offer uninterrupted views of the surrounding nature and the night sky. Scenery windows have curtains. Scenery Suites are suitable for 2 people.
The larger Scenery Suite that has a sleeping alcove with bunk beds is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children.
Forest Suites are located in nature, around 500 metres from the main hotel. The suites are equipped with a 180cm king-size double bed. There is a spacious bathroom and an outside Jacuzzi. Room amenities include a fridge, microwave and bathrobes. Forest Suites are suitable for 2 people.
Guests staying in the Forest suites can use the Forest saunas between 4 and 6 pm. Separate saunas for men and women.
Villas
There are 8 Hillside Villas, 2 Lakeside Villas and 3 Log Villas
Log Villas have two bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 people. Each villa has a kitchen, living room, sauna, bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath and a terrace. The kitchen is fully equipped for 6 people, there is an electric oven & hob, microwave, coffee maker, and a kettle, toaster, fridge and dishwasher. The kitchen is open plan with the living room, and there is a TV, radio, fireplace, and firewood. Next to the living room is a second toilet with a washing machine, dryer, iron and an ironing board.
Hillside Villas have 2 bedrooms upstairs and 3 bedrooms downstairs. Each bedroom has 2 beds (twin beds pushed together), en suite shower and wc and a hairdryer. Bedrooms are lockable with a keycard. In the common area, there is a living room/ kitchen, sauna, bathroom, wc and a terrace with a barbeque. The kitchen is equipped for 10 people and there is a fridge, electric oven & hob, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine and a dryer. There are 2 sofas in the living room, a coffee table, TV, fireplace and firewood. Minimum 5 / maximum 10 people.
Lakeside Villas have their own beach, small pier, rowing boat, and 2 saunas: one of them is an electric sauna inside the villa and the other one is an outdoor lakeside wood-heated sauna. The villas have 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs. Each bedroom has two beds (twin beds can be pushed together or kept separate), There is also a sleeping gallery upstairs with 2 beds. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi bath, and a hairdryer and there are 2 toilets. The kitchen is equipped for 10 people and there is an electric oven & hob, fridge-freezer, microwave oven, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine and a dryer. The living room has a large sofa, a coffee table, TV, radio, fireplace and firewood. The outside terrace has a table and chairs for outdoor dining. Minimum 5 / maximum 10 people.
Houseboats
The houseboats have one or two bedrooms with a double bed, an open plan living area and a kitchen with a gas cooker, wood-heated sauna, a bathroom with shower and wc and bathrobes. There are 2 terraces surrounding the Houseboat and a roof terrace with sunbeds and a barbeque. You can also take a swim in Lake Saimaa either from the pier or directly from the room. Houseboats are suitable for 2-4 people.
