Ocean Adventurer

Multi Destination

Introduction

An attractive ice-strengthened vessel, the Ocean Adventurer features plenty of outside deck space making this a great choice for a polar adventure.

Maximum passengers: 132

Ocean Adventurer was built as an expedition ship in 1976, and was most recently refitted in 2017 to create a refreshed, contemporary new look and feel throughout the ship. Carrying 132 passengers, the vessel offers a spacious window-lined dining room, forward observation deck, large lounge with bar, plus a library, medical clinic and small exercise room. There are also 5 computers aboard for passenger use. All cabins have lower berths with private facilities and either a porthole or window(s). A fleet of Zodiacs are carried on-board, and optional kayaking, camping and snowshoeing are available on selected departures.

The recent upgrades have included renovations for all bathrooms, the lounge, dining room, gym and suites. Technical enhancements were also made, such as the installation of two new Rolls Royce engines, generators, gear boxes, drive systems and propeller blades – all of which have resulted in greater fuel efficiency and a minimized carbon footprint.
